The Big Bang Theory – (the CBS comedy show – not Georges Lemaitre’s work) was recommended to me a few months ago and within one episode I was hooked! My fellow geeks; The Big Bang Theory is OUR comedy show!
I am not going to do the usual ‘fan thing’ and list all the shows and cast and crew (you can get that here) – I just want to acknowledge what a great and supremely funny show it is.
According to wikipedia; “The series is about two socially inept prodigies, theoretical physicists at Caltech, in their 20s who are living across the hall from a beautiful, socially adept girl who does not share their level of intellect.” I think I would have said that the show was about a group of 4 super-intelligent geeks, who are totally unaware how to interact with real people in the ‘real world.’
By the way, for me, Jim Parsons is THEE star of The Big Bang Theory – he’s a comedic genius!

I love The Big Bang Theory. It is the funniest new show in years. I never get enough of this show. I even am watching the repeats this summer.

Ever catch on to a show after it’s launched? This is one I almost missed…I think I caught it at the end of season one, and have been trying to catch up ever since.
I’m looking for associations that could happen because: TBBT is on CBS…and CBS now owns CNET (and has been using them to reach out to “us”).
This show reminds me how much of a nerd I am when the show is on, and I realize I’m the only person who is laughing…loudly.

I missed it when it originally launched here in the UK and only caught it whilst in The States earlier this year.
I believe there’s a DVD box set coming out soon, so you will be able to catch-up.
I agree 100% about how it can remind you just what a nerd you are – my wife often notices something when it’s on and looks at me laughing – Ummmm :)
