Cranky Geeks!
When it comes to ‘tech news reporting, John C Dvorak is a legend. Seriously, this guy was reporting on ‘tech news before many of his present day counterparts were even born! I think that Dvoraks’ deep knowledge of the technology business, and his is broadcasting style is what makes the Cranky Geeks video podcast is so good!
What is “Cranky Geeks?”
Cranky Geeks is a half hour, Internet video show that’s hosted by John C Dvorak; along with the sometimes irritating (but often extremely entertaining), Sebastian Rupley. The shows (from Ziff Davis) are broadcast once a week, with guests from within the tech industry – often people from Ziff Davis properties.
Cranky Geeks aims to cover the week’s tech stories and gets it’s ‘cranky’ title because of Dvorak’s tendency to take the counter view of pretty-much anyone he speaks to.

Dvoraks’ cranky approach is purely for entertainment value!
One of the strengths of Cranky Geeks, is the quality of their guests. For example, as I write this, recent guests include Danny O’Brien from The Electronic Frontier Foundation, gaming guru Garnett Lee from 1up.com and Cnet’s Molly Wood.
If you like your ‘tech news from an informed source, with a sprinkling of humour – give Cranky Geeks a try!
I agree, Cranky Geeks is excellent. I don;t agree with you about Sebastian Rupley hes never annoying – come one!
I wish they didn’t have Molly Wood on the show though. I find her patronizing. And the way she TOTALLY says TOTALLY before every other word TOTALLY sucks and isn’t exactly professional.

I watch Cranky Geeks every so often, but I don’t really like it as much as other podcasts, because it’s kind of boring to watch sometimes (not all the time though).

My favorite tech-related podcast would have to be Tekzilla. Also Diggnation since they do mention tech-related things on there as well.

I like Tekzilla too – though I’m not a fan of Diggnation (which is odd as I like Kevin Rose and love Digg.) I guess the problem I have is watching Kevin, who is a serious health freak, fake that he’s drinking gallons of booze. The guy is a big-time climber and has a passion for tea-drinking – guess that’s not quite the rock-n-roll image he’s looking for!

So, you watch the show but its boring? Are you on medication?
I also find it boring, because I walk away feeling that I haven’t really learned anything useful. For me The Tech Guy podcast is much better.
