Windows 7 release date?

It’s Windows 7 release date rumour time again! The speculation that Windows 7 will be launched later this year, and not early 2010 as Microsoft suggested, looks to have gathered some momentum.  The general belief that the Windows 7 public beta is already pretty stable, has been fuelling speculation of a 2009 release.  This has now been added to, with confirmation from Microsoft that there will not be a beta 2.

Speculation for a Windows 7 release late 2009

The Engineering Windows Blog, reports that the next version of Windows 7 will be the RC (release candidate.)  This means it’s now entirely possible that the release date will be planned for just before the 2009 holiday season!

My best guess? I think it’s going to be available late October.
