bing.com porn – Google was never like this

bing.com has hit the headlines here in the UK, 2 days before its official launch. It seems that users are able to view pornographic videos, without leaving bing.com. By simply hovering the mouse pointer over the video stills.

Google lists links to pornographic content, but you need to click the link and leave Google in order to view the video.

bing.com, Twitter & damage limitation

As news of this started to circulate, bing.com’s team sent a message out via Twitter, to show users how to turn on their ‘safe search’ function.  bing.com launched unofficially here in the UK this morning and I have been surprised at the improvement it has shown, over the low quality results I used to see with live.com’s search.

Whilst this is probably not the kind of news Microsoft were hoping for, it has certainly got people talking!

I like Bing and I think itis going to be a search engine to be recon with for Google, for now I am willing to give it a chance, but let’s face it I really don’t care what my search engine is as long a sI get the results I want.

Absolutely! If it generates the most useful results, it will do well. It won’t be easy, but MS sure have the finances to invest in it…. at the moment!

Oh please, give me a break. Don’t search for porn and you won’t find any! It’s pretty simple guys. Tn case you haven’t noticed the internet is infested with porn these days, if you don’t want your children viewing it, maybe your kids should be monitored whilst they use the internet!

Google fanboy stuff like this only serves to damage the reputation of the people that write this stuff.

Bing is better than Google for the moment, and I’m a long time Google user, but at least I’m willing to admit it.
