Windows 7 to hit the shelves on 22nd October 2009

According to Microsoft’s Senior Vice President, Bill Veghte, Windows 7 will be on sale and pre-installed on PC’s on 22nd October this year!

Microsoft has maintained until now, that Windows 7 wouldn’t be available for general sale until early next year.  Earlier this year, we predicted a Windows 7 release date of 3rd October launch.

Pricing has yet to be confirmed, with many users telling us that they demand either a free upgrade to Windows 7  from Windows Vista, or a very significant discount!

I have to admit I am sold on the thought of Windows, the price is relevant but I think by releasing the RC to the public MS has made it less relevant, people get tempted you know.

I will buy mine, I wish I did not have to pay as much for it, but I will just because I absolutely adore Windows 7 already.

Now the touch screen stuff they implement they can keep for all I care, I like my mouse and will continue to use it as long as possible.
