That’s great. I don’t mind seeing ads for the things I search for because I have nothing to hide, but there are those who do and we all have the right to privacy!

Any gmail users? Gmail does something similar by reading key words in your emails to come up with ads for the users.

Virgin Media has confirmed it has no immediate plans to roll out Phorm system.

Phorm looks to be having some problems now in the UK, but they are still going strong in other places. The reason BT was interested in the first place, is that these kind of targeted ads are worth a fortune to advertisers. So, if phorm do go under I’m pretty sure someone else will step in sooner or later with the same kind of thing. I hope I’m wrong.

This is great news Jim. Phorm has to fail. If it don;t then we are all going to suffer. This kind of spying on user accounts is the total opposite of what most users want.
